We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandising Assistant to join our team at Hackett London (Office). As a key member of our Merchandising department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate stock management of our stores, providing support to the planning and distribution of products, and selecting the optimal range of products.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, with excellent IT skills, particularly in data manipulation using Excel. Proficiency in SAP is a plus. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required, along with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role. Fluency in English is essential, with Spanish proficiency being advantageous.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Attending weekly trade meetings and assisting in making key business decisions.
  • Providing weekly summaries of key performance indicators, relating to sales, stock, margin, and markdown vs department targets.
  • Analyzing past sales figures and trends to anticipate future product needs.
  • Defining the correct replenishment plan to ensure accurate assortments.
  • Reporting on lessons learned from key seasonal promotions or marketing campaigns.
  • Maximizing stock efficiencies and commitment flow to allow for maximum profit.
  • Frequent communication with store staff is crucial to achieve objectives and coordinate operational processes.
  • Partnering with the Allocation team to control inventory levels, allocations, and replenishment.
  • Participating in regular store visits to ensure all department KPIs are met.
  • Line card management.
  • Carrying out ad hoc analysis as required, at product group and line level.
  • Assisting in seasonal buys, supporting analysis and key product selection for the retail business.
  • Providing historical analysis for Seasonal Planning Forecasts in support of strategies employed.
