We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Community Midwife to join our team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our community team, you will provide high-quality midwifery care to women and their families in the Birmingham and Solihull area.
Main Responsibilities- Assess, plan, and implement midwifery care using a holistic approach, ensuring the best possible outcomes for women and their babies.
- Support and supervise junior staff, students, and support workers in clinical and non-clinical procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Utilize clinical equipment competently, undertaking relevant training as required, to provide safe and effective care.
- Participate in the on-call rota to support women who choose to labour at home and in the Birth Centre, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to our patients.
- Provide total care and support for women who request a homebirth, ensuring their needs are met and their experience is positive.
- Participate in programmes of parent education within the hospital/community setting, promoting healthy lifestyles and empowering families to make informed decisions.
