We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Community Midwife to join our team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. As a Community Midwife, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to mothers and babies in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  1. To assess, plan, implement, and evaluate midwifery care using a holistic and innovative approach to practice and to develop a plan of care that is women-centered and evidence-based.
  2. Support, supervise, and teach less junior staff, students, and support workers on relevant clinical and non-clinical procedures and practices.
  3. Competently use clinical equipment, undertaking relevant training as required.
  4. Participate in on-call rota system to support women who choose to labor at home and the Birth Centre.
  5. Lead professional in providing total care and support for women who request a home birth.
  6. Participate in programmes of parent education within the hospital/community setting.
