About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Indirect Tax Manager to join our finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring VAT compliance and managing international VAT and customs duties compliance.

Your primary focus will be on VAT compliance, with a strong emphasis on efficiency and effectiveness of core processes and controls related to indirect tax. You will also assist with direct tax, including preparing tax packs and filing annual corporate income tax and VAT returns.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring compliance with all VAT and tax regulations
  • Assisting with supporting documentation for filing of R&D tax claims
  • Collaborating with the outsourced service provider on tax planning and research to optimise tax liabilities
  • Supporting the preparation of tax provisions and ensuring accurate financial reporting
  • Coordination with external auditors and tax advisors
  • Monitoring changes in VAT and tax legislation and assessing their impact on the organisation
  • Aggregating data required to be submitted for VAT registrations worldwide
  • Maintaining a schedule of VAT touchpoints in each jurisdiction and monitoring the impact of any changes
  • Reconciliation, and review of nominal ledgers relating to VAT and transactions
  • Maintaining required records for indirect tax in line with legislative requirements
  • Providing ad-hoc indirect tax advice to colleagues
