We are committed to attracting, developing, and retaining the best pathology staff. As a Highly Specialist Biomedical Scientist in Haematology and Blood Transfusion, you will play an integral part in helping to train our junior staff to develop their skills and careers.

The role involves a varied range of responsibilities from maintaining the quality management system and UKAS accreditation, training of less experienced members of staff, validating and authorising results, and most importantly providing quality service for our patients.

You will be expected to resolve complex equipment or process problems and perform manual, semi-automated, and fully automated laboratory investigations, including specialist investigations, within defined service area accurately and efficiently.

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus benefits package including generous pension scheme, unsocial hours payments (where applicable), 27 days annual leave on commencement (pro rata), and access to a range of NHS discounts.
