Electrical Development Engineer Role Overview

React Recruitment Ltd is seeking a talented Electrical Development Engineer to join their permanent team. As an Electrical Development Engineer, you will provide technical support to the engineering and sales teams, produce conceptual designs for new products, and undertake the development and testing of both new and existing products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical support to internal departments, including engineering and sales teams.
  • Conducting product research and development to meet business objectives.
  • Ensuring product compliance with relevant electrical design principles, such as BS 7671.
  • Designing and developing new products, including conceptual designs.
  • Authoring technical documentation and specifications.

Requirements:

  • Electrical Engineering degree or HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering.
  • Electrical engineering background within the construction or rail industries (desirable but not essential).
  • Good working knowledge of BS7671 and other relevant electrical design principles.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/3D CAD software.
  • Strong technical skills, with a commercial awareness.
  • Ability to problem-solve and think critically.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
