We are seeking a skilled Crude Oil Modelling Specialist to support Pangea's trading team with advanced modelling and analysis of crude oil options.

The role involves developing pricing models, risk management tools, and performing quantitative analysis to support trading decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and refine pricing models for crude oil options using advanced quantitative techniques.
  • Conduct statistical analysis to evaluate market trends, volatility, and pricing anomalies.
  • Collaborate with traders to develop hedging strategies and optimize trading positions.
  • Monitor and assess risk metrics related to the crude oil derivatives portfolio.
  • Provide ad hoc quantitative analysis and reporting for senior management.

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in quantitative modelling, with experience in options pricing.
  • In-depth understanding of crude oil markets and energy derivatives.
  • Experience with programming languages (Python, C++, or similar) for model development.
  • Advanced knowledge of stochastic processes, volatility modelling, and risk management frameworks.
  • Degree in quantitative disciplines such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or Finance.
