Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Estimator - Commercial Glazing Systems to join our team at Mitchell Maguire Recruitment Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing estimates for the design, fabrication, and installation of aluminium curtain walling, windows, and doors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review tender documents and produce high-quality tender returns
  • Utilise specialist estimating software to determine material costs
  • Negotiate prices with supply chain and gather quotations for projects
  • Liaise and build relationships with main contractor throughout the project and beyond
  • Ensure that the internal CRM system is regularly updated
  • Preparing handover documents for the contracts department, once a project has been secured
  • Attending pre and post tender meetings as and when required
  • Estimating for projects ranging in value from £10,000 to circa £1,500,000
  • Prioritise own work load to ensure deadlines are met
Requirements
  • Must have estimating experience within the fenestration market sector
  • Ideally will have a strong background dealing with architectural glazing, curtain walling, fire rated glazing, structural glazing, windows & doors
  • Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Must be IT literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Proactive and motivated individual with strong commercial awareness
