Shifts: Mon – Fri 08:00 – 16:00hrs
Contract Type: Permanent
Pertemps Network Group is seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Engineer to join their team. As a leading global Industrial Gases and Engineering company, they deliver high-quality, gas processing solutions for various industries, including healthcare, chemical, manufacturing, and food & beverage.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising contract personnel and actively supporting the sites' SHEQ goals and targets. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing, issuing, monitoring, and controlling Permits to Work, incorporating contractors' risk assessments.
- Undertaking site safety inductions for all personnel undertaking work on site and maintaining induction records.
- Operating the SAP Planned Maintenance System by planning and coordinating maintenance activities.
- Preparing plant for maintenance and inspection as required, by executing physical and electrical isolations.
- Inspecting and checking all operating plant and machinery on a regular basis.
- Diagnosing faults on plant and machinery, providing feedback, and raising work orders for rectification.
- Developing a good understanding of all gas-related queries, problems/performance issues, and effectively supporting the problem-solving processes.
- Acting as a senior person on site for plant emergencies and implementing appropriate Site Emergency Plans.
- Participating in the sites' on-call rota system.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified/Time Served within an Electrical/Mechanical/Instrumentation discipline.
- Must have knowledge/experience working within a Chemical or Processing industry.
- Previous experience within a Facilities Engineer role would be ideal.
- Must have some SHEQ knowledge/experience. IOSH/NEBOSH certification would be ideal.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work alone/on own initiative.
