Estimator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at 7formation Ltd, a rapidly expanding nationwide construction and fit-out company dedicated to excellence, innovation, and growth.

The successful candidate will occupy an office-based role and also carry out site visits/surveys when required. Working within a vibrant and collaborative company, this role will report to the Estimating Manager.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Travelling across the UK to survey works and meet with clients
  • Compiling Scopes of work from client briefs and documentation
  • All aspects of tendering
  • Sending packages to new and existing Sub-contractors across the supply chain
  • Compiling estimates of true cost from multiple sectors and presenting to the Estimating Manager
  • Presenting clear handovers for the Commercial and Operational stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Experience in take-offs of measurements
  • Main Contractor experience preferable
  • Construction Industry Qualification, Site/Trade experience or both
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Ability to communicate and present clearly to all stakeholders
  • Experience using Estimating software (Causeway preferably), preferred but not necessary
  • Experience with Excel, preferred but not necessary
  • Current and preferably clean driving license
