We are looking for an experienced Senior Atlas Developer to join our team at Barclays Bank PLC. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing and improving software using various engineering principles and industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.

You will work closely with project managers, software engineers, both internal and external to the Atlas Trade team, to ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.

  • Design, develop and improve software using various engineering principles and industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.">
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.">
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.">
  • Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.">

  • ">
  • Strong proficiency in Java skills including Generics, Collections, Multithreading, Input/Output, Streams, and database connectivity.">
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and debugging multithreaded Java code.">
  • Knowledge of Oracle Coherence and related relevant experience.">
  • Financial knowledge including risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology.">

This is a hybrid role based in London, working on high-quality software solutions. The successful candidate will be expected to adhere to secure coding practices and promote a culture of code quality.

Estimated Salary: £100,000 per annum.
