We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commercial Officer to join our team at MBDA. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement business strategies to maximise identified opportunities and drive revenue growth.
- Lead the winning of new work, including the development of proposals, contract negotiations, and the management of cross-functional teams.
- Manage the full Route to Contract, ensuring the delivery of costs in time, generation of proposals, and contract negotiations, while maintaining the viability of MBDA.
- Draft, negotiate, and agree contracts and agreements, including confidentiality, loan, licence, and NDA agreements.
- Provide effective people management and development, communicating with stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally, and reporting to senior management on contract progress.
- Represent the commercial team in progress/reviews and/or customer meetings, analysing and problem-solving complex issues every day, with the help of a multi-functional team where required.
- Familiarity with MoD contracting structure, including DEFCONs and QDCs, would be preferred.
- Defence knowledge an advantage.
- Experience of drafting, negotiating, and agreeing contracts and agreements.
- A confident communicator, both orally and in writing.
- Comfortable building effective working relationships.
- Adaptable and approachable.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Analytical in approach.
- Determined to succeed.
- Company bonus: Up to £2,500 (based on company performance and will vary year to year).
- Pension: maximum total (employer and employee) contribution of up to 14%.
