At the South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, we are seeking a skilled Clinical Support Sister to join our team in the Transformation Unit. This exciting opportunity is for an enthusiastic and experienced nurse who will provide specialist nursing support to patients with colorectal cancers.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will work as part of the multi-professional colorectal cancer team, providing care and support to patients at all stages of their disease. They will also contribute to improving clinical practice, enhancing service provision, and streamlining patient-focused care.

We offer leadership and improvement training to all new staff, which includes developing understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend this program, which aims to:

  • Explore leadership within the NHS
  • Promote Trust Values and Behaviours
  • Develop your Leadership effectiveness and skills
  • Practitioner level in quality improvement, equipping you with the skills to champion, lead and complete quality improvement within your role

The salary for this position is approximately £41,500 per annum.

Requirements
  • NMC level 1 registration
  • 1st level degree or working towards
  • Specialist qualification in cancer care/colorectal nursing or willing to undertake
  • Teaching Qualification ENB 998 or C&G 730 or equivalent
  • Hold a record of continuous professional and academic development.
  • Understanding and experience of service improvement
  • Experience in providing care for patients with colorectal cancer
