Job Overview

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is expanding its team and seeking motivated and driven individuals to deliver excellence in clinical care. As an Orthoptic Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting qualified Orthoptists to provide an efficient and effective service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Active member of the multi-disciplinary team, supporting qualified Orthoptists in the delivery of care to patients.
  • Participate in the delivery of care to patients in the Orthoptic Department as directed by qualified Orthoptists.
  • Carry out delegated clinical care duties and activities, including department-based clinical procedures and clinical observations.
Requirements
  • Numeracy and Literacy Level 2.
  • Care certificate.
  • Level 3 vocational qualification or equivalent knowledge and experience in patient and clinical care duties.
