Transport Operations Coordinator

About the Role:

We're seeking a skilled Transport Coordinator to join our team at AO. As a key member of our Transport Operations team, you'll play a vital part in ensuring our customers receive their deliveries on time, every time.

You'll work closely with our Transport Supervisor and provide ongoing support to our Drivers, dealing with any issues that may arise while ensuring we remain legally compliant with Transport Legislation and Working Time Directives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for all Driver queries, ensuring deliveries remain on schedule and supporting with resolving any issues
  • Record any vehicle defects and communicate to ensure no vehicles classified as off the road are used
  • Ensure all vehicles are compliant with legislation, supporting with ensuring vehicles are serviced and maintained correctly
  • Update daily reports for the Depot and log any issues
  • Ensure our drivers are legally and compliant, including drivers' hours and weekly rest
  • Control the fuel card's – issuing and reporting any lost or stolen to ensure replacements can be issued
  • Raise purchase orders when required
  • Accurate recording of depot time sheets for all employees

What You'll Need:

  • Understanding of transport legislation and logistics operations
  • Consistent level of performance, ensuring time and cost guidelines are always followed
  • Competent use of Microsoft, particularly Excel
