About the Role

AO is seeking a skilled Transport Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth delivery of our customers' appliances and electricals.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for drivers, ensuring deliveries are on schedule and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Record vehicle defects and communicate with the team to prevent non-compliant vehicles from being used.
  • Ensure all vehicles are compliant with legislation and maintain accurate records.
  • Allocate routes to drivers, managing their expectations and ensuring fair and consistent allocation.
  • Update daily reports for the depot and log any issues that may impact operations.
  • Manage driver hours and rest periods to ensure compliance with legislation.
  • Control fuel cards, issuing replacements as needed and reporting any lost or stolen cards.
  • Raise purchase orders when required and maintain accurate records.
  • Accurately record depot time sheets for all employees.

About You

  • You have a strong understanding of transport legislation and logistics operations.
  • You are able to work consistently to high standards, ensuring time and cost guidelines are always followed.
  • You possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and are able to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You are able to work well under pressure, offering solutions to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft, particularly Excel.
