Modern Matron

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Modern Matron to join our Unplanned Care Division as a key member of our senior management team. As a Modern Matron, you will be responsible for providing strategic nursing leadership and direction to our wards and departments, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and cost-effective care to our patients.

You will work closely with our Deputy Divisional Director of Nursing and Divisional Management Team to develop and implement nursing strategies that align with our Trust's vision and values. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in driving forward innovative service change and improving patient outcomes.

Main Responsibilities

As a Modern Matron, your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing professional and managerial leadership to our ward managers and clinical nurse specialists
• Developing and implementing nursing strategies that align with our Trust's vision and values
• Working closely with our Deputy Divisional Director of Nursing and Divisional Management Team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and cost-effective care
• Reviewing workforce requirements and supporting the recruitment and retention of staff
• Leading the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• Registration as a Registered Nurse
• Postgraduate level achievement or equivalent experience
• Management qualification or equivalent experience
• Substantial NHS experience in an acute environment
• Financial management experience
• Leadership and management experience
