We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Careers Guidance Specialist to join our team at PeoplePlus. As a Careers Advisor, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality careers information, advice, and guidance to offenders within our correctional facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver personalized career plans to support offenders in achieving their education and employment goals.
- Provide expert guidance on education and training opportunities, both in-custody and post-release.
- Build and maintain relationships with local employers and key stakeholders to facilitate employment opportunities for offenders.
- Conduct assessments to identify offenders' skills, strengths, and areas for development.
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to offender rehabilitation.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in careers guidance and employability.
Requirements:
- Level 3 IAG qualification or equivalent.
- Proven experience in providing careers guidance and employability support to disadvantaged groups.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for inspiring and motivating individuals to achieve their career aspirations.
