Job Title: Young People's Substance Misuse Practitioner

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate practitioner to join our Matrix Young People's Drug and Alcohol service. As a key member of our team, you will provide proactive support to young people impacted by substance misuse, promoting and developing the Matrix Service, networking with other support agencies, and liaising closely with voluntary and statutory services across South Tyneside.

Working directly with young people and groups, you will offer education, harm reduction, and care-planned treatment interventions that cater to the holistic needs of young people who use substances. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping us achieve our goals and make a positive impact on the lives of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide proactive support to young people impacted by substance misuse
  • Develop and promote the Matrix Service, networking with other support agencies
  • Liaise closely with voluntary and statutory services across South Tyneside
  • Offer education, harm reduction, and care-planned treatment interventions
Requirements:
  • NQF level 4 (and above) Professional Diploma or degree qualification in a relevant field such as Health or Social Care
  • Previous experience of working with young people experiencing ambivalence to change
