Job Summary:


We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team at Royal Mail Group. As a key member of our fleet maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our vehicles.


About the Role:


The successful candidate will perform a range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on our fleet of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment. You will use your own personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair light / heavy goods vehicles, and have access to specialist tooling and shared equipment in our modern, fully equipped workshops.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Perform regular checks and maintenance on vehicles to ensure they are in good working order
  • Diagnose and repair faults on a range of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment
  • Work on a flexible shift rota, including weekends, to meet the needs of our fleet
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve our maintenance goals
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and maintain a clean and organized workspace

Requirements:



  • IMI Level 3 qualified mechanic with experience working on a wide range of vehicles
  • Valid UK driving licence and ability to drive company vehicles
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends
