About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at RHL Recruitment. As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for leading on mechanical repairs and maintenance of plant and equipment, as well as supporting the safe and smooth operation of our tank farms and hydrant system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on Mechanical Repairs: You will be responsible for leading on mechanical repairs and maintenance of plant and equipment, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standard.
  • Support Safe Operation: You will support the safe and smooth operation of our tank farms and hydrant system, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and functioning correctly.
  • Participate in Asset Integrity Programme: You will participate in our asset integrity programme, proactively inspecting all assets at required frequencies and implementing repairs or replacements as necessary.
  • Develop and Implement Methodologies: You will participate in the development and implementation of methodologies to proactively inspect ageing and end-of-life assets, and repair or replace them as necessary.
  • Provide Technical Guidance: You will provide technical guidance to the maintenance team to ensure that all maintenance tasks are carried out effectively.
  • Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance: You will execute the planned preventative maintenance system, including weekly, monthly, six-monthly, and annual inspections.
  • Technical Knowledge and Specification: You will have technical knowledge and specification of new and replacement equipment and assets.
  • Competency Profiles and Development Programmes: You will help define competency profiles for members of the maintenance team and provide or organize provision of competency assessment and development programmes as necessary.
  • Support Supervisor Team: You will support the supervisor team with planning, organization, and report writing skills to improve the effectiveness of the team.
  • Lead Small Works: You will lead small works on the plant, modifications, or changes in equipment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Minimum 4 Years Engineering Maintenance Experience
  • Permit to Work Experience Desirable
  • NVQ
  • Full Driving License
