Job Summary
In the Engineering team at Equinix, we maintain the critical infrastructure that keeps our data centers running smoothly. Our team is responsible for ensuring the mechanical systems, including HVAC, chillers, and pumps, are functioning optimally.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine site inspections and monitor building and data center alarms to identify potential issues.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on site infrastructure, including primary systems, and oversee vendor-managed maintenance.
- Respond to and resolve equipment failures, performing corrective maintenance as needed.
- Develop and execute planned maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure optimal system performance.
- Maintain accurate records of site logs, data gathering, and maintenance activities, including MOPs and scripts.
Requirements
- Hold an ONC/BTEC/NVQ or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- Have previous experience in facilities or maintenance, preferably in a data center environment.
- Be self-motivated, flexible, and willing to work varied shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
