Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Forensics Investigator to join our team at Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary. As a Digital Forensics Investigator, you will be responsible for the forensic examination and retrieval of evidence and intelligence from digital devices and related media.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct forensic examinations of digital devices and media, securing and retrieving relevant data in accordance with national and local guidelines.
- Extract data using suitable applications for the Officer in the Case (OIC) to view, and advise accordingly, to ensure the OIC understands the evidential significance of the recovered data.
- Provide technical advice and assistance to colleagues in relation to forensic examinations, advising and guiding them before, during, and after interviews.
Requirements:
- Education to QCF Level 6 in Computer Studies or relevant experience in digital forensics that equates to this level.
- Experience in a wide range of computer operating systems.
