Teaching Personnel seeks an experienced Academic SEN Tutor to join our team in Chorley, Lancashire.

The successful candidate will work with students aged 11-16 who require additional support due to Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and SEMH challenges.

In this role, you will design and deliver lessons in Functional Skills English and Maths for KS3 and KS4 students, using adaptive teaching methods to cater to their diverse needs and learning styles.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Create engaging and effective lessons in Functional Skills English and Maths for our students.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that teaching methods align with the diverse needs and learning styles of our students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with relevant teaching experience is mandatory.
  • Experience working with students with SEN, particularly SEMH, ASD, and ADHD is highly desirable.
  • A thorough understanding of Functional Skills curriculum in English and Maths is necessary.
  • You must commit to ongoing professional development and safeguarding practices.
