Restaurant Supervisor Job Description

Balthazar, a renowned brasserie in the heart of Covent Garden, is seeking a skilled Restaurant Supervisor to join our team. As a Restaurant Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless front-of-house operations, overseeing the waitstaff, and contributing to the overall success of our establishment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the dining area, maintaining high service standards.
  • Supervise and mentor waitstaff, providing guidance to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and prompt resolution.
  • Collaborate with the management team to organize and execute special events and promotions.
  • Monitor reservation systems and optimize seating arrangements to ensure efficient guest flow.
  • Assist in training and development programs for front-of-house staff.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive atmosphere for both guests and staff.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Supervisor or in a similar front-of-house role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and efficiently manage tasks.
  • Familiarity with reservation systems and basic administrative tasks.
