About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a senior leadership position within our Radar Test Equipment delivery team at Leonardo in Edinburgh. As a Test Equipment Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership to a multi-discipline team of engineers and driving the successful completion of engineering tasks.

Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that the team delivers high-quality solutions that meet the required standards. You will work closely with the team to develop solutions for various types of testing and ensure that all engineering tasks are completed to the highest standard.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership to a multi-discipline team of engineers.
  • Drive the successful completion of engineering tasks.
  • Develop solutions for various types of testing.
  • Ensure that all engineering tasks are completed to the highest standard.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Well-rounded engineering experience in all phases of the Product Life Cycle.
  • Experience of designing solutions for one or more of the following technologies: Radio Frequency/Microwave/Array, Digital and/or Analogue, Power Supplies, High Speed Digital Interfacing, Common interfaces i.e. RS422, 1553, I2C/SPI, Ethernet.
  • Ability to analyse system level documents and derive detailed unit requirements under own initiative.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
