Product Owner - Networks

We are looking for a Product Owner who is enthusiastic with an aptitude and interest in digital. Digital with Purpose.

We are seeking a Network Product Owner to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital.

We're using fresh ideas and leading-edge tech to build and maintain digital solutions that will be used by nearly every person in the UK, every day and at key moments in their lives.

  • Demonstrate a high level of experience of effectively communicating at different levels across a range of stakeholders and colleagues, using a variety of methods including digital, written and verbal.
  • Demonstrate a level of experience in IT Service/Product Management, developing standard/repeatable services and by understanding business/technical priorities and risks deliver excellent customer service which also balances quality and cost effectiveness through a sound understanding of commercial and financial management.
  • Demonstrate experience of supporting and mentoring the development of team members to successfully deliver high quality outcomes that meet the customers' needs and provide value for money.
You and your role

In collaboration with a range of internal/external partners, stakeholders and customers you will be responsible for ensuring best practices are adhered to across the department and supporting teams on how to deliver quality, modern Infrastructure solutions, ensuring the operational stability, availability and quality of DWP Networks.

Working to the Senior Product Owner you will be an intrinsic part of the Management team working with other Network Services Product Owners as well as the engineering leads, principal Network engineers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Network infrastructures and technologies.
  • Work closely with the engineering leads and suppliers to ensure the delivery of high-quality Infrastructure solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Management team to ensure best practices are adhered to across the department.
Requirements
  • A working understanding of Network infrastructures and technologies.
  • Experience of Delivery / Project Management.
  • ITIL Qualification or equivalent.
