We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Research and Technology Innovation (RTI) team as the Head of RTI. This is a critical role that will drive the early innovation strategy and process in partnership with our Global Marketing and New Product Development (NPD) leads.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute technology roadmaps to meet customer and commercial needs, prioritizing Franchise programs and ensuring timely delivery.
- Partner with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), including Strategic Innovation Councils and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), to drive technology advancements and adoption.
- Lead the indirect Product Development team and 3rd party development partners to execute technology roadmaps, responding dynamically to unexpected occurrences.
- Participate in the AWM R&D Leadership team, driving continuous improvement and cross-R&D initiatives to enable R&D to meet its strategy and roadmap.
- Location: UK - Hull or willingness to travel to site 2-3 days per week.
- Education: Relevant Sciences or Engineering BSc, MSc/PhD preferred.
- Experience: Pharmaceutical/Medical Device related development with a clear bias to Class I to Class III medical devices (material science and engineering).
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability managing multiple priorities.
- Effective oral and written communication skills across levels.
- Ability to work cross-functionally to align on priorities, coordinate resources, and execute work.
- Deep knowledge of systems engineering, materials science, wound biology characteristics.
- Competency for interpreting customer needs and converting into scientific and business solutions.
