Job Overview

VanRath is assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for a skilled Project Manager - Construction for 6-12 months initially, with great likelihood of extension and permanent placement, based in Armagh.

About the Job

The overall purpose of this role is to manage and develop projects as part of the portfolio of services outlined. The Project Manager will be responsible for implementing structures, strategy, policy, procedures, and processes for these services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction project management principles and practices, including project planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, quality control, and communication.

This is a challenging opportunity to work on significant ongoing change and harmonisation processes across Infrastructure Capital Development Division and the Minor Capital Programme Delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop all aspects of Minor capital delivery, including Minor works in both controlled and non-controlled sectors, and other earmarked and special initiatives
  • Be accountable to the Minor Capital Programme Locality Manager for the effective management and delivery of all Minor capital works
  • Liaise with the Department of Education (DE) to ensure planning and delivery of Minor capital projects complies with DE capital standards
Requirements
  • Hold a Degree in Project Management or a Construction-related discipline
  • Minimum of three years' experience in construction-related Project Management, or corporate membership of a relevant Professional Institute, or five years' experience in a paid capacity working in construction-related project management
  • Demonstrable experience in the use of AutoCAD and knowledge of the Northern Ireland Building Regulations
Salary and Benefits

£40,428 per annum, plus discount benefits.
