Job Description:

The Workshop is seeking a skilled Water Resource Specialist to join our Environment Management team based in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of the Company's Water Resource WINEP investigation Programme.

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in managing consultancy contracts under the NEC4 Professional Services Contract. The ideal candidate will have excellent administration and organisation skills, as well as sound computer literacy skills, particularly Microsoft Office 365 and associated tools.

This role requires strong project management experience, particularly in environmental study type work. The successful candidate will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as a full UK driving license.

The salary for this position is £51,000 - £57,300 per annum, which is competitive with industry standards. Additionally, the company offers a range of benefits, including a pension scheme, flexible working options, professional development opportunities, and private medical insurance.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the Water Resource WINEP programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the appointed contractor(s) to deliver the programme to ensure safe and timely delivery by the agreed regulatory output dates and in accordance with the agreed budgets and levels of quality required by environmental Regulators.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the appointed contractor(s) to deliver the Water Resource WINEP programme
• Lead liaison with other companies regarding aspects of the AMP8 WINEP programme that they are leading
• Support the Water Resource WRMP24 and WRMP29 programme, including through programme development and management of the process
• Assist with WRMP tasks, including but not limited to those associated with options appraisal
• Engage with technical experts from environmental Regulators (primarily Environment Agency and Natural England) to ensure successful completion of the WINEP programme

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have:

• A degree (or equivalent) in an environmental science/water resources or related discipline, Geography, ecology related
• More than 5 years' experience working in an environmental assessment or regulatory role or similar, ideally in a project / technical leadership or project management role
• Previous experience in successfully implementing projects under the NEC4 suite of contract documents, particularly Professional Services Contract (PSC)
• Excellent project management experience, particularly in environmental study type work
• Strong administration and organisation skills
• Sound computer literacy skills, particularly Microsoft Office 365 and associated tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Full UK driving license
