About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Civils Development Manager to join our Building and Civils Development team on the Southern Renewals Enterprise. This is an exciting opportunity to lead multiple individual schemes across Network Rail's Southern Route (Kent, Sussex & Wessex) over a period of 5+5 years.

Key Responsibilities
  • To manage and coordinate construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • To oversee the development of detailed project plans, including Work Package Plans and Task Briefing Sheets, and implement safe systems of work.
  • To work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, and contractors, to ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements
  • A proven track record in civil engineering or project management, ideally in a rail or construction environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of safety regulations, quality assurance, and environmental standards.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills to motivate and guide teams.
  • Possession of relevant certifications, such as CITB SMTS or equivalent.
