Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for motivating and driving a high-performing production team, ensuring a safety-first approach, and meeting customer product specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Motivate and manage production supervisors, controllers, and line leaders to meet production targets.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to company health, safety, and quality regulations, and maintain quality procedures and controls.
  • Compliance: Manage audit compliance, including internal and external audits.
  • Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • HR Compliance: Ensure site HR compliance on the 'One HR' system.
  • Production Planning: Manage an efficient production plan versus workload, ensuring daily efficiency and wage % KPIs are met.
  • Warehouse Management: Liaise with CML warehouse management to ensure the warehouse can support the IPS plan.
  • Integrated Management System: Effectively use the integrated management system (Vision) to aid in the delivery of quality and tractability, maximize production efficiency, and stock control.
  • Product Quality: Ensure all products meet client specifications (SPI).
  • Risk Assessment: Be involved and support the risk assessment process.
  • Change Management: Ensure the correct management of changeover of lines/product and sign off for all product changes.
  • Training and Development: Train and identify training for all team members, and ensure training compliance.
  • Performance Management: Complete 1:1s using review/training log and PDPs with all reports.
  • Agency Staff Development: Assist in the identification and development of agency staff who demonstrate potential to become IPS colleagues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement focusing on all forms of waste.
  • Personal Development: Drive own personal development through training and work-based experience.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Experience within an FMCG production environment.
  • Leadership: Previously experience leading, developing, and motivating a team.
  • Knowledge: BRCGS & ISO audit knowledge, knowledge of Co-pack operation, Vision/WMS/SAP knowledge, and experience of working in a customer-led environment with changing priorities.
  • Skills: Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work to strict deadlines, and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages.
  • Education: A good level of literacy and numeracy is required.
