This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Primary Care Team within Hywel Dda University Health Board. We are looking for a competent and dynamic individual who has a passion for service change and delivery. As a senior member of the team, you will lead operationally on the development of General Medical Services, working with other Primary Care contractors in the Tywi/Taf Cluster, and providing a liaison role at County level.

The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day contract management and performance management of the General Medical Services (GMS) contract and practice development for practices within their designated area, inclusive of Health Board Managed Practices.

Key responsibilities include the implementation of new ways of working, such as the development of federated practices, indicative Locality budgets, and innovative service redesign. You will also provide support and guidance to Primary Care Clusters, ensuring that robust governance arrangements are in place in line with local and national agreements.

Key qualifications and knowledge include a Master's degree level education, or equivalent level of knowledge gained through experience, and continuous professional development. Essential experience includes previous NHS management experience, working with primary care general medical practices, managing contracts and monitoring performance, and developing and implementing strategic plans.

Desirable qualifications and experience include experience of GMS contract management, negotiating and developing Enhanced Services specifications, and Welsh language skills.
