Job Description

The role of a SEN Teaching Assistant is available at a reputable primary school in Fleetwood, Lancashire. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to a child in Year 2 who has severe special educational needs.

We are seeking an experienced and qualified individual to work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to plan sessions in line with the EHCP. The ideal candidate will offer consistent social, emotional, and academic support to the child.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To work with the child to encourage consistent development, providing social and emotional as well as academic support
  • To assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons tailored to the child's needs
  • To maintain accurate records of the child's progress and share updates with the class teacher and SENCO

Requirements:

  • Prior experience supporting learners with SEN, specifically ASC
  • Team Teach qualification or experience with de-escalation would be beneficial

Salary Information:

The salary for this position will be competitive and dependent on qualifications and experience.
