Job Summary
We're seeking an accomplished Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and ensure exceptional food quality and presentation standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing kitchens, a passion for cooking with fresh ingredients, and exceptional leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the kitchen team to achieve high food quality and presentation standards.
- Develop and implement new menu ideas, ensuring they align with our brand values.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling labor costs.
- Train and develop junior staff members, including Apprentices and KP's.
- Work closely with the management team to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.

Requirements
- Experience of working with fresh ingredients and be able to demonstrate good chef/kitchen skills (food prep hot and cold, cleaning, knife skills, good hygiene practices).
- Your work ethic is rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck in and leading from the front; playing an active role in delivering excellent kitchen and food standards as part of a high-performing team.
- Familiar with managing through clear KPIs and making decisions considering labour; stock; food safety requirements plus others.
- You will have worked in kitchen environments where you're required to report on various metrics including GPs; labour/house; food preparation.
- You will have demonstrated successful delivery of training and recruitment for kitchen teams including Apprentices, KPs, Chefs, Junior Sous Chefs and Sous Chefs.
Salary and Location
This role comes with a competitive salary of £48,000-£58,000 per annum, dependent on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including overtime pay, staff discounts, paid breaks, and more. Our company is based in a thriving city location, close to public transport links.
