Mental Health Lead Nurse

An exciting opportunity has emerged at Northwick Park hospital for a highly skilled Mental Health Lead Nurse to join the team in the Emergency Department. This Band 6 position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact and shape service developments that raise the bar even higher.
About the RoleAs a leader with a passion for delivering quality care, you will work closely with the nurse in charge to ensure all mental health patients receive the right level of support while in the emergency department. Your exceptional people skills and ability to develop and implement revised ways of working will drive organizational efficiencies and improved patient outcomes.
The post-holder will be employed by London North West Healthcare University NHS Trust (LNWHUT) and will be accountable to LNWHUT. Supervision will be in partnership with LNWH and CNWL. They will assist in providing day-to-day advice and guidance on the care of patients requiring one-to-one and mental health needs within the Emergency Department at NPH.
You will work very closely with the Liaison Psychiatry team at Northwick Park, Enhanced Observation team, and the Nurse in charge of the Emergency Department, ensuring all patients who are on one-to-one are reviewed and that they still require observation levels. You will participate in the care planning for patients on one-to-one observations and ensure the RMNs and health care assistants are working in accordance with trust policies.
Main Duties- Work with the senior nursing team in the Emergency Department to deliver a service that is evidence-based, has a reputation for quality, and ensures that all available resources are utilized efficiently.
- Provide day-to-day advice and guidance on the care of patients requiring one-to-one and mental health needs within the Emergency Department at NPH.
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with current registration.
- Other courses related to Mental Health.
The estimated salary for this position is £42,045-£54,245 per annum, depending on experience. The role also offers a range of benefits, including opportunities for professional development and a supportive work environment.
