As a Security Administrator, you will be responsible for staffing the Reception desk, answering telephone calls, and providing administration support to the security management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Staff the Reception desk when required and ensure it is not left unattended.
  • Answer all telephone calls in a polite and professional manner.
  • Issue access badges and cards.
  • Operate and monitor security systems, CCTV, and alarms, and respond in accordance with procedures.
  • Provide administration support to the security management team.
  • Assist with the New Starter induction process.
  • Handle internal and external enquiries in a helpful manner.
  • Provide an excellent standard of customer service at all times.
  • Work effectively with the Fleetlands site security team.
  • Manage and maintain stock levels of stationery and required documents.
  • Update all relevant records and logs accurately and regularly.
  • Complete all relevant administration tasks.
  • Undertake any ad hoc related duties as instructed by the line manager.
  • Assist in planning and preparation for on-site visitors.
  • Ensure all visitors are advised of site security and health & safety requirements.
  • Keep the Reception area in a suitable condition for visitors.
  • Carry out ITAR clearance activities in accordance with Company requirements.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety rules and regulations.
  • Work in line with our organisational values.
  • Adhere to our Quality Management Systems, Safety Management Systems, Environmental Management Systems, and all associated Business Manuals.

Competencies:

  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC).
  • Ability to work with other teams and communicate effectively.
  • A polite, professional, and respectful manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow rules and regulations.

Organisational Relationships:

  • Reports to the Site Security Manager.
  • Internal and external visitors.
  • Security Team.
  • All Vector staff.

Professional Qualifications/Education and Training:

  • GCSEs English and Maths Grade C or equivalent.
  • Security Vetting Training (DISA, Defence Industry Security Association).

Experience:

  • Experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience of working in a regulated environment.
  • Experience in Security Vetting procedures.
