Role Overview

The Team Leader - Scalable Systems Administrator will be responsible for leading a team of IT professionals in delivering scalable and high-performance computing solutions to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of IT professionals in developing and implementing scalable systems and infrastructure.
  • Configure and optimize Linux-based HPC environments for maximum performance and reliability.
  • Implement security best practices to safeguard HPC systems and data.
  • Monitor system performance and resource utilization to identify and address potential issues.
  • Collaborate with software and IT teams to enhance computing capabilities and support engineering delivery.
  • Mentor and upskill junior team members to provide redundancy in skills and career development.
Requirements
  • Experience with virtual desktop environments, HPC environments, and Linux operating and administration systems.
  • Extensive experience with configuration and optimization of queue systems and assisting end users to develop suitable job scripts.
  • Proven experience with Low Latency or RDMA network technologies and Linux scripting languages in HPC environments.
  • Ability to lead a team and implement decisions and strategies while conveying technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Familiarity with VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix, or other virtualized desktop systems.
Qualifications

A Technical Degree (Computer Science, Maths, Engineering, or equivalent field) or relevant technical experience.
