About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Law Solicitor to join our team at Strabag UK Limited. As a key member of our legal department, you will provide expert legal support and advice to our group companies on construction law matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive legal support and advice on construction law matters, including contract reviews, notes of advice, and drafting agreements.
  • Support construction projects throughout all phases of the lifecycle, from tender phase to project completion, including negotiation of final settlement of warranty claims.
  • Procure and steer cooperation with external law firms and collaborate with other central divisions within the group company.

Requirements

  • Qualified as a solicitor under the laws of England and Wales (or another common law jurisdiction) with a law degree or appropriate conversion degree(s).
  • At least 2-4 years' experience working in the UK construction industry, with a strong understanding of construction contracts, particularly the NEC and JCT forms.
  • High level of comprehension and pragmatic mindset, with the ability to provide solution-oriented legal advice and support contract negotiations.
  • Self-motivated individual with a proactive approach, strong drive for action, and personal responsibility, with excellent communication skills.
