About the Role

We are seeking a talented Construction Solicitor to join our team at Law Staff Limited. As a Construction Solicitor, you will be responsible for handling contentious construction matters, advising on all aspects of construction contracts, and drafting submissions for adjudication and arbitration proceedings.

Responsibilities

  • Handling own caseload of contentious construction matters
  • Advising on all aspects of construction contracts
  • Drafting submissions for adjudication and arbitration proceedings
  • Liaising with clients and other professionals
  • Preparing seminars and contributing to publications
  • Business development

Requirements

  • Solicitors with at least 3 years' PQE in construction matters
  • Previous experience in both, contentious and non-contentious matters is essential
  • Is self-motivated and has enthusiasm for business development
  • Has a strong academic background, with at least a 2:1 at degree level
  • Postgraduate course in construction law is advantageous
  • Familiar with Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996, the Scheme for Construction Contracts (England and Wales) Regulations 1998 and the Civil Procedure Rules
  • Has excellent communication skills, commercially aware and proactive
  • IT proficient
