Job Title: Learning Opportunities Coordinator

Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum

MidKent College is seeking a Learning Opportunities Coordinator to join our team. This role will provide maternity cover on a Fixed Term contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering a range of extra-curricular activities for learners with EHCPs. This will involve working as part of a team to meet the specified outcomes and facilitate greater independence for learners.

The role involves centreing workshops around the individual needs of learners, covering subjects such as exam skills, social skills, study skills, life skills, and employability skills. The successful candidate will also work closely with the rest of the Additional Learning Support Team to plan the delivery of extra curricular activities for learners with EHCP's.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to support learners in developing their confidence and self-esteem.
  • Utilise and develop learning resources, including assistive technology and online/remote learning resources, to effectively support learners in overcoming barriers to achieving their challenging learning goals.
  • Support and review the processes for identifying learner needs at interview, ensuring that support needs can be planned for in advance of their enrolment.
