About the Role:
Amazon Data Services UK Limited is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Manager to oversee the physical security of our EMEA Non-Traditional Environment (NTE) Data Centers. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for managing access control systems, guard force management, and security audits, among other critical security functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the on-site operational physical security of our NTE Data Centers, ensuring the safety and security of our employees, customers, and assets.
- Develop and implement new security processes and procedures, adhering to Amazon's policy and procedure relating to security guarding, media security, CCTV monitoring, and customer data protection.
- Supervise employees and contractors performing specific security objectives, monitor vendor performance, and work with security service providers to ensure seamless security operations.
- Compile concise and accurate security reports, create and manage key performance metrics, and train others in security procedures.
- Collaborate with peers in other geographic regions and travel as required to ensure consistency and best practices in security management.
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of security operations experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience working with security service providers and security software systems such as Lenel.
- Working knowledge of video surveillance equipment and security risk assessments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Formal certifications such as Certified Protection Officer (CPO), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or QQI L6 Security Operations Certification.
- Experience working in a high-security environment and ability to perform security risk assessments.
