Physical Security Program Manager

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Data Center Operations Security Team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physical Security Program Manager to join our team.

This role is responsible for the design, installation, and integration of security systems equipment, including access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV surveillance systems.

The Physical Security Program Manager will be a key member of the EMEA Security team and will report to the in-country Cluster Security Manager. The role will supervise the compliance of physical security standards, manage physical security projects, and serve on cross-functional teams.

The ultimate success of this role will be measured by the development, implementation, and commissioning of standardized security infrastructure systems for the AWS region. This will be achieved by observing physical security standards and programs that support the goals of the Global Physical Security Team while enabling local site managers to draw related services from the team in a self-service manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide technical leadership for large-scale security engineering projects, coordinate security system design specifications and change management between internal teams and external vendors.
  2. Excellent project management skills are required with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Securing the compliance of physical security project standards, project Scopes of Work, budgets, and timelines.
  4. Designs, develops, and implements solutions for system installations, upgrades, repairs, and change outs.
  5. Support security system equipment commissioning.
  6. Build and deploy training programs for all users of physical security systems.

You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

Minimum Requirements:
  1. 5-12 years of experience in managing the operation and installation of regional and/or global physical security systems.
  2. Experience as a Physical Security Program Manager for large and complex installations.
  3. Extensive experience in corporate security and workplace safety.
  4. 5 to 10 years of experience in managing security professionals or security monitoring centers desired.
