Senior Clinical Educator (Department Lead)

Are you a motivated clinical professional with a passion for education and development?

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Educator to lead our education team and deliver specialist clinical programmes to clinicians at all levels, across a range of organisations and teams.

As the new Senior Clinical Educator (Department Lead) at St Catherine's Hospice, you will be responsible for building strong links with external education providers to broaden our education offer and identify opportunities for education and partnerships.

You will work in collaboration with colleagues across the Hospice to ensure our clinical workforce is equipped with the necessary skills to provide safe and effective care to our patients and our wider workforce have the opportunity to grow and reach their potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the education team to plan, organise and deliver clinical and non-clinical education both internally and externally
  • Develop and implement education strategies to meet the needs of our clinical workforce
  • Build strong links with external education providers to broaden our education offer
  • Identify opportunities for education and partnerships to expand our income generating activities

Requirements:

  • Highly specialised clinical skills and experience
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the Hospice
  • Strong links with external education providers

About St Catherine's Hospice:

We care for patients and families across Chorley, Preston and South Ribble who are affected by life-shortening conditions such as cancer, motor neurone disease and heart failure. Our specialised palliative and end of life care allows people to experience the best possible quality of life, to the end of life. We work with patients and their loved ones at the hospice and in their own homes to help them achieve what's important to them in the time they have.

We are a values-led Hospice with care, compassion and commitment at the heart of everything we do.
