Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Midwife to join our team as a Rotational Midwife Band 5/6. This role offers the opportunity to consolidate your midwifery skills and knowledge in a forward-looking service with a passionate and enthusiastic workforce.

Main Duties of the Job

As a Rotational Midwife, you will be responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating programs of care in a range of environments without supervision. You will also support, supervise, and teach less experienced staff on the ward/team relevant clinical and non-clinical procedures and practices.

Person Specification

We are looking for a Registered Midwife eligible to be live on the register, including 3rd year students due to qualify. Essential criteria include a degree in/working towards degree in Midwifery and up-to-date mandatory training in fire, infection control, basic life support, and moving and handling. Desirable criteria include NIPT trained, Supervisor and assessor trained SSSA or equivalent, and experience of critiquing clinical evidence, clinical audit skills, and managing a team/area.
