Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Midwife to join our team in Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust. As a Rotational Midwife, you will have the opportunity to consolidate your midwifery skills and knowledge in a forward-looking service with a passionate and enthusiastic workforce.

This role is ideal for qualified Midwives or third-year Student Midwives due to qualify in 2024. You will be part of a dynamic team that is committed to improving the care of women and their families.

Main Duties of the Job

As a Rotational Midwife, you will be responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating programs of care in a range of environments, without supervision. You will also support, supervise, and teach less experienced staff on the ward/team relevant clinical and non-clinical procedures and practices.

You will work autonomously within the department/team within Trust guidelines and sphere of professional practice.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Registered Midwife eligible to be live on the register (including 3rd year students due to qualify)
  • Degree in/working towards degree in Midwifery

Desirable Criteria

  • NIPT trained
  • Supervisor and assessor trained SSSA or equivalent

Experience

  • Up to date mandatory training in fire, infection control, basic life support, and moving and handling
