Specialist Support Teacher for SEMH

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEN Primary Teacher Specialist to join our team in an Outstanding-rated SEN school in East London. As a member of our team, you will be working with students aged 5 to 11 who have complex needs, primarily Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach small groups of mixed-age students, delivering high-quality, differentiated lessons that focus on SEMH needs.
• Work closely with a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) and Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide tailored academic and emotional support.
• Develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies, using de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed approaches.
• Regularly monitor and report on students' progress, setting individual goals and providing feedback to parents and relevant professionals.
The salary for this role is estimated at £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including training and development opportunities.
