Job Summary

Moffatt & Nichol, a leading global infrastructure consulting firm, is seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Payroll Specialist to join our London office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of our company's payroll, handling all aspects of payroll operations, and maintaining effective communication with HR and other departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process attendance records and other necessary documents for international payroll operations.
  • Verify payroll information for accuracy and ensure all relevant paperwork is in order.
  • Coordinate with HR about changes in payroll, such as terminations, new hires, salary changes, and leave of absence.
  • Oversee electronic payments and distribution of payroll checks.
  • Update data with salary or wage adjustments.
  • Process other financial compensations or deductions, such as annual bonuses, severance pay, taxes, and workers' compensation.
  • Handle benefit expenses, like insurance fees or paid leave.
  • Generate reports to upper management upon request.
  • Address employee inquiries and resolve complaints regarding salaries and payments.
  • Collaborate with relevant authorities, such as tax authorities, for audits or information requests, ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and tax laws.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Significant experience in payroll, preferably with medium to large-sized organizations, and international payroll experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment with multiple project responsibilities.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, positive, and takes pride in work and being an integral part of a committed team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and intermediate skills in Word and PowerPoint. Proficiency in ADP (WorkforceNow, Celergo, GMV) is preferred.
  • Fully bilingual English-Spanish.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Detailed knowledge of payroll processes.
