Job Title

We are seeking a highly skilled System Component Designer and Developer to join our team at Allegis Global Solutions Limited (AGS) in London, UK.

About the Role

This role is responsible for designing and developing system components ensuring high-quality code with comprehensive automated testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop system components using C++ and Boost libraries to ensure seamless integration with existing applications.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure adherence to SCB development practices and handover of application support to global teams.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the code base and implement changes as needed to enhance overall system performance.
  • Foster relationships with teams within and outside Financial Markets, Infrastructure units, etc., advocating delivery excellence and ensuring application release quality.
Requirements:
  • C+/17/20 skills, knowledge of STL, and experience with Boost libraries are highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Linux development using gcc, gdb, git, and associated debugging tools.
  • Strong understanding of software design, development, and deployment principles.
  • Working knowledge of FX products, pricing, and Real-Time risk management.
  • Ability to design scalable, high-availability, supportable distributed architectures.
  • Knowledge of messaging and communication protocols, including TCP, UDP, multicast, and data encoding.
  • Understanding of SQL and simple DDL operations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with business representatives.
Contract Details:

£750 per day, 1 year contract duration (possibility to extend), Hybrid working model, Location: London, UK.
