Aerospace Component Inspector

Carbon60 - Eng&Tech is proud to partner with Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services to recruit an Aerospace Component Inspector for the Inspection department.

This permanent position has become available due to continued growth and expansion within the company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for detailed inspections of aircraft components using manual measuring tools and inputting data onto the SAP system to record component conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake detailed inspections of all components (excluding those requiring quarantine due to incidents or accidents) using the latest criteria and inspection equipment.
  • Create and modify component overhaul/repair routes within the SAP system as required.
  • Ensure accurate recording of information (P/N, S/N, and condition) in the shop Repair Order and on the LTLGS SAP system.
  • Perform accurate measurements of components when necessary due to workload.
  • Liaise with colleagues and engineers in other departments to organize component repair and overhaul.
  • Train and mentor other team personnel within the role based on qualifications and experience.
  • Maintain a personal Practical Experience Record (PER) book.
  • Participate actively in department daily dialog meetings.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in Aerospace Engineering or an equivalent environment.
  • Previous mechanical component inspection background.
  • Proficiency in PC software.
  • Previous experience working within an SAP computer system would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with inspection techniques and equipment.
  • Practical experience using imperial measurement tools.
Estimated Salary: £28,898.73 per year (plus shift pay)

This is a competitive salary package that includes discretionary bonus schemes, discounted flight benefits, reduced gym memberships, retail and hotel discounts, and seasonal company events.

The work schedule involves double day shifts from Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday, alternating weekly between 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm.
